This beef stroganoff recipe makes for great comfort food that can be ready in about 30 minutes – which makes it a perfect quick meal. I remember making it when I went away to college the way my mom did when I lived at home but I didn’t have a written recipe, so I’m sure I’ve changed it up a bit over the years. Not everyone makes stroganoff with ground beef but that’s what I grew up with and I’ve never had it any other way. It’s a fairly inexpensive meal and one that my kids love . . . I hope you’ll love it too!
BEEF STROGANOFF
1/2 lb ground beef
1 can cream of mushroom
3/4 cup sour cream
3/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 pkg extra wide egg noodles
1. Cook the egg noodles according to the package directions.
2. While the noodles are cooking, brown the ground beef and drain the grease.
3. Add the soup, milk, sour cream, and seasonings to the ground beef and stir until combined over medium heat. Turn the heat down to low once heated through until ready to serve.
Serve the sauce on top of the egg noodles.
