A cleaning hack for soaker tubs? If you’re a bathtub person like me . . . I mean, having a large soaker tub in the master bath is a big contributing factor to why I would buy a house . . . then this could make your life so easy!
Though I love to soak in a big tub, I hate cleaning them – hanging over the side with my feet up in the air in a plank kind of position to reach the far side of the tub; crazy! During the last couple of months of my last pregnancy, I was glad to have my oldest (6 yrs old at the time) home on summer break so he could crawl along the top of the tub and clean it for me.
So I had the thought that maybe a sponge mop would make it a little easier but that just sounded kind of weird and I didn’t want to waste money on a new mop that might not help. And then I asked on facebook and no one had any better ideas but one friend suggested a mop so I had the validation I needed and I thought maybe the idea was worth a try. Let me just say . . . GENIUS!
Go out and get yourself a sponge mop that you can use just for your tub. Spray the cleaner in the tub and use that mop to scrub down the tub. It is so easy and totally worth every penny of buying a new mop. Oh, and I’m not a big fan of cleaning the free standing showers either so I use it for that, too.
I’d love to hear about any favorite bathroom cleaning hacks that you know . . . anything to make cleaning the bathroom a more enjoyable task is a good thing
