Yea! I’m catching up a little on the Clutter Free Challenges! Day 15 was the master bathroom . . . which I actually decluttered just a couple of months ago. My old system was 2 large baskets in the cabinet under the sink that held tons of products in a massive jumble, and the things I use on a daily basis all over the top of the counter. Sounds like a great system, right?
The new system? I got rid of the baskets (I’m now using them in another room where they work MUCH better) and threw away a ton of products that I haven’t used in months or years. I kept only the products that I knew I would use and then lined them up in rows according to category (lotion, deoderant, etc) inside the cabinet. The great part about this is that I can see exactly what I have and what I need to buy more of. I’m not overbuying anything because I know exactly what I do have. And I’m not running out of things because I know exactly what I need.
The products I use daily (my favorite makeup and age defying products, etc.) were all put in a hospital tub (a great cheap organizing tool!) and put inside the other cabinet. Its easy to pull out everything I need and then put it all away. Clean counters in the bathroom make such a big difference!
