My kids think I can do anything. One of the things they think I can do is make any kind of cake that they can think up. I cringe every time they start talking about birthday cakes. My sister and I took cake decorating classes years and years ago and its fun for me to use that skill, but coming up with the design is sometimes challenging. When my son said he wanted a Lego Movie cake, I thought, “Yeah, right. That’s not going to happen!”
Hurray for Pinterest! I had absolutely no idea what I would do until I started searching and found some great ideas and pin-speration. So, here’s the lego cake I came up with: lego border made by using mini m&ms and lego heads made from large marshmallows with a candle stuck in the middle and then dipped in yellow candy melts. The great thing about kids is that it doesn’t have to be absolutely perfect to make them so excited and I just love that!
