My Favorite Money Saving Apps

My favorite money saving apps help me save money and time. That’s why I use them regularly. I’ve installed others that I used once or twice but these 4 apps are the ones I consistently use:

  1. Shopkicks – With Shopkicks you earn kicks (points) that you can redeem for gift cards. You can earn kicks just by walking into a store, scanning products at the store, and looking at product ads on the app. I love this because you can earn points without ever spending a penny!  If you want to get started with Shopkicks, use this link to sign up – they’ll give you free points for using it and I’ll get some points for referring you.
  2. Ibotta – Ibotta is kind of like getting rebates that you can redeem for gift cards or cash to a paypal account. Choose the item you’re going to buy or have already bought and earn a rebate on it by unlocking the rebate (usually watching or reading a very short ad), scanning the product barcode, and scanning the receipt. This last week, I earned rebates on bananas, milk, bread, and eggs – all stuff I was buying anyway.
  3. Walmart Savings Catcher – I haven’t found time to coupon lately and running from store to store just isn’t going to happen, so I do my grocery shopping at Walmart where I can get the lowest prices in my area. If you just scan each receipt into the Savings Catcher app, they will price match it for you and then you can load your savings onto a Walmart e-gift card. The savings can really add up over time.
  4. Retail Me Not – I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve been out shopping and realized I didn’t bring a coupon that I had at home. I just pull up Retail Me Not and check to see if they have any coupons for that store. The cashier just scans it right off my phone and I’m good!  I’ve used it mainly for shopping at Michael’s and Hobby Lobby, but I know they have coupons for other places too.

Well, those are my favorites . . . which shopping apps do you love?

*There are referral links included in this post.  Please keep in mind that I would never refer you to something I don’t use myself.  The referral points are just bonus for telling you about something I would be telling you about anyway.
