Teal and Gray Nursery for a Baby Girl

I decided to go with a teal and gray nursery for my baby girl. It was something different which meant it was hard to find exactly what I wanted in stores. Not being a decorator, it was a challenge and it certainly stretched me. Lucky for me, Hobby Lobby had quite a bit of teal going on and I was able to put together some fun things to make a room that I absolutely love!  With the help of coupons and several trips to the store, I was able to put this room together pretty inexpensively.

Hanging pom poms – I know you can make your own, but Hobby Lobby had them and they looked so great.  With a coupon, the price wasn’t bad at all.  I just used the hook that was already in place and threaded a ribbon through, tied the two ends together and hooked to the ceiling.

Bedding – Instead of spending money on a super expensive bedding set, I went with a simple gray chevron fitted sheet that I found at Target.

Lamp – The lamp is one of my favorite things.  I found an ugly pink lamp at the thrift store.  I spray painted the base teal and bought a gray shade at Target.  I had some gray & white chevron ribbon that I hot glued to the top and bottom edge.

Wall Flower – The flower wall hanging was a favorite project as well.  This is how I made the teal and gray wall flower.

Curtains – I wanted to find ready made curtains but after a long search, I couldn’t find what I was looking for.  Instead, I found some beautiful fabric that I loved at Hobby Lobby.  My mom was in town for a visit and helped me make the curtains which actually came together so easily.

Changing table – Believe it or not, I found someone offering a free changing table.  It was a very solid piece but several parts needed repairs.  My good husband took some time working on it and I bought the glass drawer pulls from Amazon.
