The Rent Collector by Cameron Wright. I’ve and this book sitting in my “to read” pile for quite a while, maybe even a year. I’ve passed it up to read other books several times even though I had heard it was great. My days with 5 young kids are long and hard and so I like to have a little escape into books that are easy to read and just fun. I was worried that this one would be too heavy and deep and so I always chose a different book.

It sounds funny to me now, but I had to talk myself into picking up The Rent Collector for my most recent book to read. I am so glad I did because I loved it. It was an incredible story. But it was a very easy book to read, very enjoyable, while leaving me with some lessons that will be with me for a very long time and hopefully forever.  I know it’s a book that I’ll read more than once and I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a new book to read.
