I’d like to introduce you to Breanna’s twin, Windy. We thought Windy would only be with us for a couple of weeks, but that couple of weeks has now turned in to 4 weeks and we just got word that she’ll be with us for a while longer, at least. Last night, I decided that since this oxygen tank had become more of a permanent fixture in our home that she needed a name . . . I suggested the idea to my husband who came up with the name Windy 🙂 Carting around an oxygen tank with a newborn has been a bit like carrying around twins so it’s only fitting that we give it a name.
Last week, we got to take Breanna off the oxygen tank overnight while she was monitored all night to see if she could keep her oxygen levels where they needed to be. Today we heard from the doctor that she didn’t do well at all and we are now set up with cardiology and pulmonary appointments in the next 2 weeks. Hopefully, they will be able to find the problem and there will be an easy solution. In the meantime, although carrying Windy around everywhere with us is not convenient, we’re very grateful that we have her so that Breanna can be home with us and getting the oxygen that she needs.
